Luck of the draw.

We were hosted by the best family and paired with the most outrageously yummy California vineyard (and vintners).

The Florida shrimp were so so sweet (check out Jamie’s sleek ‘Shrimp Cocktail’)…

…and the wines served at just the perfect temp (don’t knock it until you’ve tried it!)

The bids were high- the Staglin Winery lot w Just Married & Cooking went for $66,000!- and the dancing a little crazy…

Just thank heavens that pics like these were taken at the beginning of the evening- before 10 hours in the kitchen together. You don’t need to see our blistered hands and tired feet and Jamie’s brow that screams,”Step away from the Chardonnay and get back to the deep fryer!” The auction weekend was a lot of work but we feel lucky to have been a part of it.
