*New* Thanksgiving Side: Warm Cabbage & Bacon Salad with Goat Cheese Crostini

Traditional Thanksgiving sides rock. Once a year, it feels good to fill our plates with can-of-mushroom-soup green bean casserole, whipped sweet potatoes and a cheesy, creamy, breadcrumb-topped casserole that’s impossibly golden and bubbly. 

But what about something a little lighter, a little fresher–something that speaks of us (and not Thanksgiving, circa 1957?)

We keep the bacon and the cheese but we also turn to our favorite, lesser-used fall vegetable, red cabbage. We say this serves 4-6, but give Brooke a fork and a glass of white and she’s been known to knock this one out all by herself…
