For all the fuss over fancy stemware (Riedel, I’m a little over you), not much has been done on the a.m. coffee container front. It’s Plain Jane mugs, ugly plastic go-cups or nothin.’  At least, that’s what I thought. Then, Jamie and I began to live at the Roasting Plant on Greenwich Avenue, finishing up the cookbook. They served us our coffee in these ingenious little vessels that are made of heat-resistant, borosilicate glass. What does that mean? You don’t burn your hands when picking up your mug and your coffee stays hot for much, much longer. Like anything I buy now that we have a baby, it’s dishwasher and microwave safe.
