It was a toss up as to whether I should teach a seminar on mixology or media (read: booze or blogging) but in the end, I decided to lead a course on the ins and outs of food writing and blogging. Tonight’s my food media seminar at ICE and, well, I get a bit nervous about these things. Public speaking and lecturing —sans hubby–scares the daylights out of me but this trial-by-fire stuff is definitely good for the soul. (Last week’s wine lecture during a formal dinner for 60 almost intimidated me as much as the idea of giving birth…) Because taking on a fear- or living out a dream- is what life’s all about, right? Tonight, hopefully I can help the students live out a dream, big or small, in the blogosphere.

You were fantastic! No need to worry! Thanks again for all of your help last night. It was a pleasure to meet you, and I hope our paths cross again soon.
Kayla, y’all were a great class! I really enjoyed helping–or trying to help–everyone get their toes wet in the blogosphere. Write me anytime with questions.
Glad you chose the media seminar! Although, I would definitely sit in on the booze class as well! Thank you for all the information and helpful insight last night. The class was terrific.
