So you’ve made it to our home, New York City, where we obsess over every meal. When we’re not recipe-testing- or trying to get kale and quinoa in our daughter- we’re exploring the city trying to find the next best bite. This might mean a happy hour glass of wine and a nibble at the bar- a fantastic and inexpensive way to test out an otherwise expensive and crowded hotspot. Or maybe we want tapas at one of the fantastic “small plates” restaurants that are taking over the city. Even better, tonight is the night we’re going to splurge and try out a restaurant that’s been on our list since last Valentine’s Day (these things happen). We adhere to “Food First, Scene Second,” and if the servings or wine pours are obnoxiously small, we won’t go back. Here are recent favorites- as in, if you ate at these five restaurants on your next visit, you’d hunt down a real estate agent and plan a move South of 14th. Wonderful food makes you do crazy things.
