Private Cooking Lessons

Private Lessons

For larger groups, check out our Cooking Parties.

Our private, in-home cooking workshops are for the couple who has everything–except skills at the stove. Better than a personal chef and more intimate than a cooking class, our two-on-two, intensive lessons take the guess work out of good cooking. We work with every client one-on-one to craft a personalized menu for each lesson. So whether you are buying lessons for yourself or as a gift you can be certain every moment in the kitchen will be perfectly suited to your tastes!

Newlywed Cooking Basics: How to Boil Water
Family and friends rocked your registry and now you have more pots, pans, knives and kitchen gadgets than you could have ever imagined. Now what? We create a customized culinary plan that suits your space, your equipment and your skill level. Learn how to roast a chicken, make a spring vegetable gratin and bake the best chocolate ganache cake on your block. We help you transition from take-out queen to top chef.

Couples’ First Dinner Party: Cooking For a Crowd
They’ve pronounced you husband and wife. Now it’s time to (dinner) party! Wait, what are they making you do? Putting together a delicious meal-for-a-crowd can be as frightening as signing on the dotted line. Until we step in. Jamie’s mixology primer sets the mood and then Brooke steps it up with her food & wine pairings. Next, we plan out the ideal menu with our roster of fool-proof foods–hot & cold, make-ahead and last-minute–to make sure that the night is a stress-free success.

Newlyweds First Holiday Meal
Your turn. Everyone expects the newest happy couple to host the entire family this year. But how do you roast the turkey, sear the lamb and brown the casserole? What’s a chiffon and how does it get in the pumpkin chiffon pie? We’ll teach you how to create a menu that makes the most of your space (counter, oven and otherwise). Learn how to manage the feast and then, with our 3-in-1 recipes, rock the leftovers for a week.

Couples’ Weeknight Staples: Quick Recipes and Cool Kitchen Moves (To Get Dinner on the Table, Fast)
“Grabbing dinner” works for a few weeks–not a lifetime. We’ll teach you tried and true techniques as well as chef’s tricks and tips that get dinner on the table in a hurry. Learn how to menu plan for the work week, stock pantry staples and “power-shop” for last-minute ingredients. We’ll also show you how to break up your cooking time and share duties so that a fresh, healthful can fit into anyone’s schedule.
